SCOAMF Obama Exempts Japan and 10 European Nations From Iran Sanctions Law

He tells Israel to give sanctions time to work... and then vastly undercuts those very sanctions. Yeah, he's got Israel's back.
(INN) US officials said Tuesday that the United States will exempt Japan and 10 European Union nations from US financial sanctions because they have "significantly reduced purchases of Iranian crude oil."

The provides a respite for the 11 countries, whose banks faced being cut off from the US financial system under new US sanctions designed to pressure Iran into abandoning uranium enrichment.

The EU nations include Belgium, Britain, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain, according to the US State Department.
