At best, they'd support separation long enough to build up the weaponry for a genocidal attack on Israel.
If they wanted a two-state solution, they could have had one in in 1947/48 and at anytime since.
It's a progressive dream to believe there has ever been any intent by "Palestinians" to have a state that includes recognizing Israel and leaving it alone.
