5 men hung for violent rape in Afghanistan; Amnesty International complains

(Kabul) In August, while the world had its eyes on Israel and Gaza, a wedding party was stopped in Paghman district a few miles outside of Kabul by a bunch of armed thugs dressed as police and carrying assault rifles. They dragged four women out of the cars in the middle of the night and raped them in a field near the main road.

Usually in misogynist Islamic countries, especially Afghanistan, if a woman reported being raped, it is she who ends up getting killed. But this time that didn't happen. Instead, the evil twats who carried out this evil crime found themselves not only getting arrested, but on being found guilty in court, were told they were going to get their necks stretched, and this morning, they uttered Allah Ackba for the last time as they departed this assistance for another, with no chance of getting their hands on a few virgins in the afterlife.

Well, justice has for once been served, however, that so called human right org, Amnesty International, isn't happy at how 5 violent rapists were made to pay the price for their evil act. No, the like limp-wristed, tofu eating, ethical latte drinking liberals the world over felt that jailing these poor innocent men would have been justice. (And we wonder why our jails are full.) I quote from their press statement:
"But the death penalty is not justice – it only amounts to short-term revenge."
Maybe we should ask any of the victims of violent rape around the world if justice was served. Pretty sure I know that their answer won't mirror the AI stance.
