Tower of London Poppy fields

(England) In order to commemorate the Great War of 1914-18 and to pay homage to the 888,246 of British and Commonwealth people who gave their lives, the Historical Royal Palaces commissioned artist Paul Cummins to hand make 888,246 ceramic poppies and plant them in the moat at the Tower of London. We visited this last Saturday, wow, I've never seen so many people at the Tower. Absolutely fantastic and poignant. If you wish to visit, you have until the 11th of November to see them.
