Arab Spring: Two young Tunisians sentenced to jail for posting Mohammed caricatures on Facebook

Since no one knows what Mohammed looked like, how could anyone know if these two guys posted a nudie of him?
(JPost) Tunisia sentenced two youths to prison terms for slandering Mohammed, AFP quoted officials as saying Thursday.

"They were sentenced, one of them in absentia, to seven years in prison for transgressing morality, defamation and disrupting public order," ministry spokesman Chokri Nefti told AFP.

The defendants had posted caricatures of the Muslim prophet in the nude onto Facebook.

The sentences were handed down on March 28, AFP reported. One of the two young men has already been jailed, but the other managed to escape Tunisia and is reportedly seeking asylum in Greece.

Since the election victory of the Islamist Ennahda party in Tunisia, there has been a surge in the number of trials on charges of morality transgression.
