Slovakian PM: Refugee Quotas Are 'Finished'
(Newsweek) The current holder of the EU’s rotating presidency has slammed plans for permanent refugee quotas that would distribute asylum seekers more evenly across the bloc.
Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico said Wednesday that: “Quotas today clearly divide the EU, therefore I think they are politically finished,” The Times reported.
Fico was speaking ahead of a referendum on Sunday in Hungary, where voters are expected to reject EU plans for refugee quotas. The “illiberal” Hungarian government, led by Viktor Orban, has campaigned vigorously against the quotas, and open asylum policies more generally.
Despite a struggle to implement a temporary relocation scheme, which since last year has only seen 5,595 people relocated from landing points in Greece and Italy out of a target 106,000, the European Commission wants to introduce some form of permanent quota system. The commission is set to release an updated proposal on Wednesday.
Under the current EU “Dublin regulation” refugee rules, asylum seekers are required to seek sanctuary in the first safe country they reach and there is no system for redistributing them afterwards.
This has led to massive pressure on states like Greece and Italy, and others near the EU’s southern and Eastern borders, as huge numbers of refugees have arrived from Africa and the Middle East since 2014.
But quotas are felt by some states to be an over-reach of Brussels’ power because it requires national governments to admit people that they otherwise may not have done.
Fico said: “Whoever wants to divide Europe, let them put quotas on the table, who wants to unite Europe, let them come up with a different concept of fight against illegal migration.”

So, when Israel had a bun fight with Gaza, the liberals went apeshite over the use of smoke shells which contained phosphorus. (Syria) So I came across this news clip of a C-IED team inside Syria clearing a path, and I couldn't but help think, "What the hell?!"
Err, if you are going to clear a path using a mine detector then it helps if you swing the damn thing from side to side whilst keeping the sweep head parallel with the ground. You simply just don't walk in a straight line with the damn thing in front of you. Also, it helps if you turn it on - they utter a tone. The MINEX 4.600 mine detector has a built-in loudspeaker which is only silenced when you plug in the headphones as depicted below by the jihad twins who seem to be a little confused on who actually wears the headphones.

Turkey’s de facto safe zone in northern Syria
(Syria) Turkey has recently revived its proposal to establish a safe zone inside Syria. In an interview with France 24, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Ankara is planning to send troops 45 kilometers [into Syria] “to secure the Manbij pocket and this area will become a de facto safe zone.” According to Cavusoglu, the plan aims to boost security and allow more refugees to return home while also enabling additional local Syrian troops to be trained for the continued fight against ISIS. Despite the failure of Turkey’s previous attempts to create a no-fly zone in Syria, recent developments, locally and internationally, show clear signs that a de facto safe zone, protected by US air power, is now being carved out in northern Syria.

Yemen: Saudi Arabia just lost a Pterodactyl UAV
(Sanaa) The liberal world loves to opine about Western arms sales to Saudi Arabia, which funny enough has been instigated by that so called peaceful nation Iran. Don't get me wrong, I have no time for any Islamic nation (well, as an apostate, I wouldn't, would I?). Now what these liberals who are content on doing Iran's work for them don't realise is that if Saudi Arabia can no longer purchase weapons from the West, they will look elsewhere, which kind of explains why Saudi Arabia has purchased a large number of Chinese Predator drone clones known as Wing Loong, aka the Pterodactyl. Whilst virtually identical to the General Atomics MQ-1 Predator, the Pterodactyl is a quarter of the price.
However, as seen all over the world, buying cheap doesn't really save you money at the end of the day, which may explain why the Saudis have just lost a Wing Loong over Yemen.
On Saturday, images surfaced of a downed UAV in Yemen, whilst people immediately screamed Wing Loong, it has taken till today to verify that loss.

Russian and Syrian jets bomb Palestinian refugee camp
(Reuters) Russian and Syrian forces bombed a strategic camp on the northern edge of Aleppo on Sunday after losing control of it overnight, both rebels and the Syrian army said.Russia and Syria use phosphorous bombs on Palestinians?
Rebels said the army used more powerful weapons in an attempt to recover Handarat, a Palestinian refugee camp a few kilometers north of the Aleppo which is on elevated ground overlooking one of the main roads into Aleppo that had been in rebel hands for years.
"We retook the camp, but the regime burnt it with phosphorous bombs ... We were able to protect it, but the bombing burnt our vehicles," said Abu al-Hassanien, a commander in a rebel operations room that includes the main brigades fighting to repel the army assault.

(Bristol) Seven men have gone on trial at Bristol Crown Court, accused of a total of 46 offences, including rape, sexual assault, rape of child under 13 and false imprisonment. Victims were subjected to sexual abuse that was "degrading, violent and horrible" in inner city Bristol, a jury at the city's Crown court was told. The girls were given drugs and alcohol and were "pestered again and again" for sex by the men, all of Somali origin.
The trial of the seven paedophiles at Bristol Crown Court started at the beginning of this month. A ban preventing the media from reporting the case until the victims had finished giving their evidence was lifted today.
The defendants have been named as:
Sakariya Sheikh, 23, Abdirahman Galal, 26, Mohammed Osman, 29, Mohammed Dahir, 24, Nuridin Mohamoud, 22, Abdirashid Abdulahi, 23, and Nasir Mahamoud, 23.
Some of the defendants deny knowing the girls they are accused of abusing or say they have been wrongly identified by a street name. The defendants deny all the charges they face. But then with the exception of Nuridin and Mahamoud, all the rest have been in trouble before for shagging little girls most have served time. Only one has a clean sheet (and that's only because I can;t find anything on him).
Their trial has been adjourned until Thursday.

(Birmingham) Unemployed Krissoni Henderson, a self-proclaimed Islamic street preacher, has been found guilty of abusing a woman in the street over her skinny jeans.
Henderson vented abuse at his Muslim victim over the jeans she was wearing, calling her a slut and saying he would blow up her house. He said: 'You shall burn in hell, look at your jeans, they are so tight. You will burn in hell for wearing such clothes'. When she said she would report him, he told her: 'They can't do nothing. Authorities in the northern Austrian city of Wels have imposed a curfew on young migrants following a series of sexual assaults at a local wine and beer festival in early September, which were committed by Afghan minors.
Underage refugees living in the town of Wels are now allowed to leave their places of residence only until 8:00pm local time, the town’s mayor, Andreas Rabl, told RT, confirming information about the curfew. He also added that the migrants would face “strict sanctions if they break these rules.”
The move comes after underage asylum seekers from Afghanistan assaulted more than a dozen women at town festival called Welser Volksfest that was held between September 2 and September 11.
On September 4, five migrants from Afghanistan were detained over sexually harassing women during the festival after eight women reported sexual assaults to police.
Following the incident, Andreas Rabl demanded “zero tolerance” for such cases in a post on his Facebook page.
By the end of the festival, the number of sexual assaults had increased to 17, prompting a strict response from the authorities.
“We had the problem that the female visitors of the festival being the victims of sexual assaults. 17 women in the age between 18 and 50 years were abused during the festival in Wels. Their abusers were refugees from Afghanistan and these refugees were in the age between 15 and 16,” the mayor told RT, adding that one more assailant was 23 years old.
The mayor also said that the number of sexual attacks in his town is constantly growing, stressing that there had been 193 such complaints since the beginning of the year by August.
Rabl also said that the town authorities plan to implement additional security measures to tackle the issue “in the long term”, including increasing the number of police officers and the coordination between private security and police forces.
He also announced plans to set up surveillance cameras at festivals and in the town as well as to deploy more police officers in plain clothes at future public events.
At the same time, he stressed that Austria should conduct tougher refugee and migration policies to tackle this issue alongside other security threats that could be potentially posed by uncontrolled migrant influx.
“We have to make stricter rules for immigration in Austria and… to exercise stricter control over our borders,” Rabl told RT, adding that it makes “no sense when everybody can come here and we do not know who is coming.”

(Express) The German Chancellor said other European Union (EU) members need to accept refugees at a faster rate to reduce the backlog of people stuck in countries in the southeast of the bloc.
Speaking in Vienna at a meeting with nine other heads of government, she said: “In view of the many refugees who are already with us, other EU countries will have to jump in.”
Mrs Merkel, who operated an open-door policy last year which led to 1.1million refugees entering Germany, said it is “encouraging” other EU states have started accepting refugees.
But, she warned the EU’s “mechanism is too slow” to be able to distribute people who have filed asylum applications.
In the second quarter of this year, the bloc accepted 305,700 asylum applications, edging the total to about 1.5m over the past year.
Germany took in more than 60 percent of those in the three months ending in June.

UPDATE: Second gun attack reported: Masked men on mopeds shoot four in Malmö
At least four people have been injured in a shooting in southern Malmö carried out by masked men on mopeds.
The shooting took place in the inner courtyard of an apartment building in the Fosie suburb.
One of the injured was rushed to hospital in an ambulance, with the other three making their own way, Malmö police said in a statement. Police are treating it as a murder attempt.
The shooting took place at around 6.50pm on Sunday, with the police alerted shortly after 7pm.
Witnesses reported hearing several loud bangs, after which two people were carried away to cars which then fled the scene. “Feet were sticking out of the car windows,” one witness said.
Another witness told the local Sydsvenskan newspaper that two mopeds were circling the area in the moments before the shots were fired. A third said they had seen a masked man on a moped open fire on one of the cars.
“On one moped, there were two masked people and on the other just one person. Both disappeared from the scene after the firing,” the witness said.
According to Swedish television, a crowd of more than 100 people arrived at the hospital to visit the wounded, forcing police to cordon off the emergency department, letting in only the closest relatives.
Sara Didrichsen from the Malmö police told Sydsvenskan that police were now seeking witness statements from local residents. "We are carrying out witness interviews and knocking on doors," she said.
One local resident told Sydsvenskan that the shooting had made her feel the neighbourhood was no longer safe.
"I like it here, but now I'm really scared," she said. "There are loads of kids who live here and are out playing."

(Amman) 56-year-old Jordanian writer Nahed Hattar posted a cartoon of a so called martyred ISIS terrorist in Heaven, in bed with 2 women demanding that god brings him a drink. Titled ‘the God of Daesh‘ it was meant to highlight the hypocrisy of those who claim to be doing the work of Allah next door in both Syria and Iraq. You know like those Intolerant Islamic thugs who immolated Jordanian pilot Muath Safi Yousef Al-Kasasbeh last year.
Hattar removed the cartoon from his Facebook page after it triggered outrage on social media. The cartoon features an illustration of God under the title "God of Daesh," using the Arabic acronym for ISIS. He explained on Facebook that the cartoon made fun of "terrorists and how they imagine God and heaven, and does not insult God in any way".

Syria; Evidence points at Russia for the bombing of the UN food convoy outside Aleppo.
(Syria) I'd like to say the world was shocked over the destruction of the UN convoy (31 trucks) delivering aid to the non-combatants held hostage inside Aleppo. But to be honest, people are no longer shocked by what transpires in the Middle East.
Anyway, the Russian propaganda machine went into overdrive by first claiming that the convoy was carrying arms and then that the attack may have been carried out by a US Predator Drone What the Russians forgot to mention is that a Predator drone can only carry a maximum of 6 Griffin missiles in its best weapons carry as the Griffins warhead only contains a 13lb fragmentation warhead which is why it is used as a precision low-collateral damage weapon. Yes the Predator can carry Hellfire missiles but it can only carry 2 of them, the more advanced Reaper is able to carry 4 Hellfire missiles, not enough to take out 31 trucks.

Naturally, this hasn't gone down well with the fairer sex in Iran and women have taken to the social media in which to post pictures of themselves riding bikes in protest:

UK: Teacher sues school for showing a YouTube video of 9/11
(Birmingham) Teaching assistant Suriyah Bi lost her job at Birmingham's Heartlands Academy after just a week last year after she opined about how children studying Out of the Blue, by Simon Armitage, a poem about a victim of the 9/11 terrorist attack (the poem is part of the AQA GCSE syllabus) were shown a YouTube clip of 9/11, which she thought was inappropriate.
Bi wasn't employed by the school but rather by an agency, and when the school said they no longer wanted her services, she lost her position. She cited that showing children the video of 9/11 was offensive and also illegal as it had a 18 certificate.
Well, as this is the UK, her claim has been upheld and she can now pursue her cash grab after it was sanctioned at an employment tribunal which has approved her bid to pursue legal claims against E-Act who sponsor a number of academies, including Heartlands.
Outside the hearing, Suriyah said:

'Most of the children in the class didn't even know what 9/11 was. The kids thought it was a robbery. The video not only showed the plane crashing into the Twin Towers but also showed people committing suicide by jumping to their deaths from the tower blocks. Such young children should not been shown things like that because it is well-known that it can play on their minds and even induce them to kill themselves. I was in the classroom when the video was shown and I quickly objected. Later, I was told to leave the school."Now why were children made to watch a video of 9/11 as part of their English lesson? Sweden So Violent, Migrants Consider Moving Back To War-Zone Homelands

(Breitbart) A migrant who fled the Somali Civil War 20 years ago is considering moving back to his homeland as he says Sweden has become a “war zone”.
Revealing that other migrants have fled parts of Sweden in fear of their lives, Mohammed Dame said he believes that Sweden is no longer a safe place.
Interviewed at a secret location, Dame said he and his family are on the run from criminal gangs that now rule the Gothenburg suburbs.
He told NRK, Norway’s public broadcaster, “It’s like a war zone. We do not know who gets shot. Bullets can hit you anywhere.
The Somalian migrant is not the first arrival to ask whether life in their homeland could be better than the increasingly violent, multicultural Europe. Breitbart London reported in 2015 on a Syrian migrant who delivered a letter to the German government requesting they terminate his asylum application as he preferred it at home. Today, so-called voluntary repatriations are surging.
“Now there are more weapons than ever. There are more drugs than ever. There is more insecurity. Everyone is afraid. I dare to say the truth, there are not many who dare it.”
Dame was six year old when he arrived in Sweden. In Gothenburg he became a member of the civilian police. Because of this, criminals accused him of reporting them — something he denies — and threatened him with death.
After constant threats and harassment from criminal gangs, and the experience of being followed and surrounded by threatening men with guns Dame said he became too afraid to leave his apartment, and barred his children from playing outside. As a result, the family decided to flee.
Describing the situation in the migrant-heavy areas he left behind, Dame said: “Now we see murders every week. We have seen attacks with automatic weapons at the restaurant, where people are shot to death. We’ve seen grenades being thrown through the windows of houses and children killed.
“People are desperate and terrified. They think of their children. They get a stomach ache every time they swing into the parking lot where they live. We are at war, with weapons and gun and drug everywhere. They have taken over the block where I lived. It can not continue this here.”
Dame said he thinks that while the police are too soft on the criminal gangs, the parents of criminals are responsible for the situation.
He isn’t the only one to have fled the third world chaos now present in several areas of Sweden Dame disclosed, asserting: “Many have fled with their children. They are afraid that they, or their children, will be killed.”
Dame told his interviewer he hopes the trend in parts of Sweden towards becoming lawless war zones reverses and that society can take back control of suburbs from the criminal gangs which now rule them.
If that doesn’t happen, he said he may return to a Somalia that now feels safer than the country that granted him asylum.
“Maybe I’ll move back. I do not know. But I will not be moving around in Sweden. I want to feel safe”, he told NRK.
A recent report showed that 80 per cent of police officers in Sweden are considering changing career due to the danger they face in the field. Up to three officers quit each week, violence and criminality in areas of Sweden which are heavily populated by migrants is so severe.
