Malaysia : Prime Minister Mahathir denounces murder charges agaisnt Russians regards the downing of Flight MH17 as heresay.

(Kuala Lumpur) On the 17th of July 2014 (MH17) on a scheduled passenger flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur that was shot down while flying over eastern Ukraine, killing all 283 passengers and 15 crew on board.  The investigation that followed revealed hard evidence that the missile used was a Buk missile system, transported from Russia into the separatist part of eastern Ukraine. From the get go, the Russians have obstructed the investigation; initially they stated that the Ukrainians fired the missile, and then they tried pushing the view that a Ukrainian Su 25 shot down MH17. (The problem there is the SU 25 is a ground attack aircraft and not fitted to carry air to air missiles.)  Also there exists damning video evidence of a surface to air launch and the actual wreckage of the missile used, a missile that could only come from a Buk Anti-aircraft missile system.

In October 2015, the Dutch Safety Board concluded the plane had been hit by a Buk missile, causing it to break apart in mid-air. The Dutch-led joint investigation team (JIT)- which includes officials from the Netherlands, Australia, Belgium, Malaysia and Ukraine - concluded in May 2018 that the missile system belonged to the 53rd Anti-Aircraft Missile brigade, based in the western Russian city of Kursk. It produced evidence that it said proved how the missile system had reached eastern Ukraine.

Anyway, 5 years down the line and the Dutch released their findings to the world yesterday and they indicted 3 Russians (Igor Girkin, Sergei Dubinsky and Oleg Pulatov) , and 1 Ukrainian separatist  (Leonid Kharchenko.)

Naturally the Russians have slated the finding stating they that they reject the findings of the JIT which were "aimed at discrediting the Russian Federation in the eyes of the international community". But what was really surprising is that  Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia , the country the plane that was shot down belonged to has parroted the very same line as the Russians.

"Blaming Russia for the shooting down of flight MH17 has always been the “script” of an international political plot to attack the country"
That got me thinking why would he go down that line. A quick check and it works out that Russia has been throwing  a lot of money at Malaysia these past few years:
  • On the 15th March 2016, a Russian-Malaysian business council was established with the intent to strengthen cooperation on economic, scientific, technological issues and culture.
  • On the 20th May 2016 a bilateral meetingbetween Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Russian President Putin  explored the  possibility of negotiating for a free trade agreement (FTA) between Malaysia with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in which Russia was among the leading countries. They also looked at direct flights between Malaysia and Russia as well as Russia supplying Malaysia with weapons
  • On the 22nd of Feb 2018 Russia opened its second Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) branch office in the country, the first was opened in 1981.
  • Funny enough trade between the two countries has also risen in 2012 it was $1.769 billion , by 2016 it had risen to $2.19 billion in 2016.
  •  When Prime Minister (PM) Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad met with President Putin last  November they they discussed how there had been significant increase in bilateral trade of over 60% in the last eight months.
Hey I'm not saying the PM of Malaysia has been bought off by Moscow, but for him to come right out and defend the Russians when all the evidence points at them does raise a lot of questions.

Malaysia 10 suspect ISIS terrorists arrested.

(Kuala Lumpur) Police in Malaysia have reported that between January and February this year they arrested 10 suspected Islamic terrorists who were part of ISIS communication pipeline set up to channel  ISIS fighters to the Philippines.

The first series of arrests were made on Jan 25 and Jan 26 against five men — two Malaysians and three Philippine nationals aged between 33 and 50 — in Sandakan, Sabah. The group includes a 27-year-old man from the Philippines who is believed to be a senior leader of the notorious Abu Sayyaf, a Philippine terrorist group known for kidnapping and beheading foreign tourists. The next series of arrests was against four individuals — two male Filipinos and a Malaysia woman aged between 27 and 32 — in Penampang, Sabah on Feb 4.

Follow-up operations led to the arrest of a 48-year-old Filipino man, who has Malaysian permanent-resident status, on Feb 6 in Sandakan.

Based on the arrests in Sabah, the Police reported it was learned that the Abu Sayyaf group was attempting to form a terror cell in Sabah so that they could successfully arrange for the safe passage of IS militants in the region to the southern Philippines.

Malaysia: Islamists says only Muslims will make policy should they come to power this year.

(Kuala Lumpur)  Malaysia like many countries hosts elections every 5 years and the next one takes place in May this year.  The PAN Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) is an Islamist political party which is hoping to win power and if it does it has already stated that it is going to throw equality for all out of the window and only allow Muslims to rule.
Its leader Abdul Hadi Awang came out with the following over the weekend:
"If PAS rules, it (the administration) will be divided into two. One, a cabinet that decides on national policies. This must consist of people who adopt the national ideology and faith,"
Hadi stated just as much last month when he said the Malaysian government should only be led by Malay-Muslims,  also over the weekend he came out with:
“‘Caste’ is not integral to Christian doctrine and practice, and ‘pastors’ are not considered ‘sacred’ and above reproof, albeit they are called to perform holy duties on behalf of the people of God and live holy lives,”
Strange how in places where Muslims are the majority there is no such thing as equal rights for Non-Muslims or women, yet where they are the minority they demand equality by playing the victim card Funny enough in the West it is deemed ‘Islamophobic’ if you question why Muslims are such a blood thirsty crowd.

'Moderate Muslim country' of Malaysia: Government says it is ready to send its army to do its duty over Jerusalem

(Kuala Lumpur) The Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) is ready to perform its duty towards the issue facing Jerusalem, Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein quoted to the media yesterday:
We have to be prepared for any possibilities. The ATM [Malaysian Armed Forces] has always been ready, waiting for instructions from the top leadership. Let us pray that this dispute would not lead to chaos.
Anybody else find it strange how when close to 1/2 million people were getting killed in Syria, only Iran decided to send its troops to the country? And that was more to build a corridor from Iran to Lebanon for its own nefarious needs rather than helping the sick, lame and lazy. It's the same with each and every Islamic based genocide - the people who protest the most, leave it to the West to sort out their problems (ironically, whilst moaning about having non-Muslims on Islamic lands). Yet point out the fact that Jerusalem has been the capital of the region for over 3000 years, and it's instant outrage time. Pathetic.

Malaysia: Big event organisers are becoming wary of doing business in case they offend..Islam.

(Kuala Lumpur)  The rise of polarized Islam within Malaysia has made the organisers of Pop concerts and other such big events increasingly wary of doing business in this nation of 31 million people which is 61% Muslim.  Last month I mentioned how a Beer festival had been cancelled after the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) complained it was un-islamic and they would actively protest. The above is nothing new for PAS as they have protested numerous pop concerts along the same lines:  GwenStefani, Beyonce, Avril Lavigne, Pussycat Dolls, Selena Gomez are but a few
And its not just Beer and Pop, films are banned on a regular basis, this year alone Wonder Woman (lead character is a jew) Beauty and the beast and 19 years ago they banned Babe: Pig in the City. full list here. I’ve mentioned how Laundrettes have started banning non-Muslims .A Government minister is on record of saying that Muslim apostates should be “hunted down vehemently”.and this is a country which is only 61% Islamic.
The politicization of Islam has increased as Prime Minister Najib Razak’s ruling party seeks to appease more-fundamentalist elements in which to secure the large, Islamic rural vote ahead of an election expected in the coming months and yet Malaysia is projected as a global image of a moderate Muslim country. Funny enough they said the same thing about Turkey, Syria and Lebanon

Malaysia: Another Muslim only launderette found

(Kangar) On Sunday I mentioned how a pious Islamic Laundrette owner had banned all non-Muslims from using his establishment.  Unfortunately for him, he has been forced to remove that ban or else he would find himself sharing his abolitions inside prison with Non-Muslims.   As that story caught the eye of the media, they started a search of the country and what do you know, they've only found another laundry doing likewise:

They called the number listed at the shop and it was answered by a man claiming to be the owner. He said he opened the laundry to serve only Muslims. When asked why, the man said it was done for the "comfort" of the Muslim customers. He urged non-Muslims to use other launderettes and stressed the matter should not be turned into a controversy.

The green sign inside the launderette in Kangar, Perlis, states that its service is for Muslims only.
As the Sultan of Johor and the government sent out a message that such segregation must not happen in Malaysia, I expect the owner of the Express Laundry in Kanger to have a change of heart very soon.

Malaysia: Self-service launderette bans non-Muslims

(Muar)  The owner of a self-service launderette in  Malaysia has banned Non-Muslims from using it by claiming that he was worried that there might be "unclean" elements such as dog fur on the clothes non-Muslims brought to his launderette. and that non-Muslims could visit other nearby launderettes.

When the owner was interviewed by the media, He said he was just carrying out his duty as a Muslim.

local Mullah Datuk Mohd Tahrir Samsudin has defended this ban by saying that the launderette's move was commendable as cleanliness is a priority for Muslims.
"This should not be turned into an issue as it only encourages negative perception from non-Muslims towards Muslims.I think it is a good move as Muslims will no longer be doubtful when using the self-service launderette"

Malaysia: Muslims ban beer festival as it is not... Islamic

(Kuala Lumpur) Authorities in Malaysia have cancelled an annual beer festival after the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) objected to the event that had been planned for the first weekend of October in the country’s capital. Whilst there are plenty of beer drinkers among the sizable Chinese and Indian minorities, protests against events deemed to be “Western” and unIslamic - such as concerts and festivals involving alcohol - are increasing in Muslim-majority Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) stated it had rejected the application for a permit by the organisers of the “Better Beer Festival 2017” to host the event, which would have entered its sixth year and followed it up with a warning:
“If the organisers continue with the event without DBKL’s approval, action will be taken in accordance to existing laws.”
Strange how those who have no problem demanding we respect the rights of Muslims when they are in the minority (Sharia/Halal/Islamic Banking/Holidays/Customs, etc.) have no problem denying similar rights to minorities when they are the majority.

From Yemen to Afghanistan to Malaysia: Muslim suicide bombings galore

Suicide bomber kills 14 at tribal gathering in Afghan city
(AFP) Fourteen people were killed Sunday when a suicide bomber struck a gathering of tribal elders at a prominent politician's home in Jalalabad, the second deadly attack in the eastern Afghan city in less than a week.

The Taliban denied responsibility for the bombing, which also left 13 people wounded on the eve of a second round of four-country negotiations aimed at restarting peace talks with the insurgents.

The carnage came during a "jirga", an assembly of tribal leaders, at the home of politician Obaiduallah Shinwari, who escaped unscathed.

"Fourteen people were killed and 13 others injured when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives in the house of Shinwari," said Najibullah Kamawal, the health director of Nangarhar province, of which Jalalabad is the capital.

Ambulances rushed to the scene, which was littered with pieces of human flesh, sandals and charred debris.

Suicide Bomber Targets Police Chief in Yemen's Aden, Kills 7
SANAA, Yemen (AP) — A suicide car bomber rammed his vehicle into the police chief's house in the southern Yemeni city of Aden on Sunday, killing seven civilians and security forces in a failed assassination attempt after militants killed two other security officials elsewhere in the country.

Police Chief Shallal Shayei survived a similar assassination attempt last month, as did the governor of the province earlier this month. Aden's previous governor was killed in an attack claimed by a local Islamic State affiliate.

Ambulances raced to the police chief's house after the explosion, which could be heard across the city, witnesses said. Officials said an armored vehicle blocked the suicide car bomber meters from the gates of the house. Seven people were killed and 12 injured after the explosion ripped through a bus that was passing by.

Detained Malaysian was hours away from suicide attack
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — A Malaysian man was detained just hours before planning to blow himself up at an entertainment venue in Kuala Lumpur, a government official said Sunday, after authorities raised the alert level following bombings in neighboring Indonesia.

The 28-year-old Malaysian was detained Friday at a monorail station in Kuala Lumpur, said national police chief Khalid Abu Bakar. He said the man confessed he planned to blow himself up in an attack after receiving orders from members of the Islamic State group in Syria.

A government official, who declined to be named because he was not authorized to release information, said Sunday that the man is an insurance salesman from northeast Terengganu state.

The official told The Associated Press he was detained just hours before his planned suicide attack at an entertainment outlet, either a karaoke bar or a pub.

Khalid said in a statement that the man also had been hanging Islamic State flags in several Malaysian states to oppose the government's crackdown on the militant group within the country. Khalid tweeted that "weapons and IS documents" were seized when the man was detained.
