(Singapore) On the 15 February 1942, the British city of Singapore
surrendered to the Japanese. The city was them occupied by the Japanese until
the 12 September 1945 and the signing of the surrendered documents in Japan .
Life under Japanese rule has been well documented as harsh , yet even I was surprised
when I came across this tweet by World War 2 pictures.
The next time you hear some twat opine about Hiroshima, mention the above and its just one example of the intolerance at the hands of the Imperial Japanese armyJapanese troops use captured British Indian Army soldiers for target practice at Singapore, 1942. #WW2 pic.twitter.com/U9butn1wfs— WWII Pictures (@WWIIpix) December 10, 2019
