(JPost) A total of 4,762 targets in Gaza were struck by the IDF during the course of the war, the IDF said on Tuesday, as a 72-hour pause in fighting went into effect and was holding, and an Israeli delegation was in Cairo for cease-fire talks with Palestinian factions.
The targets included 1,678 rocket launchers and storage facilities, 191 rocket production facilities, and 997 command and control centers. According to the IDF's Spokesperson's Office, 939 targets were hit as part of the air force's close support for ground forces.
In addition, 237 regime sites supporting Hamas' military wing were destroyed.
As for casualties, 64 IDF soldiers and officers were killed as well as three civilians.
On the Palestinian side - 1,867 Palestinians were killed, according to Gaza officials. Of those, 750 to 1,000 were terrorists, says the army: 253 from Hamas, 147 from the Islamic Jihad, and 603 were militants whose affiliations were not immediately established.
During the course of the fighting, Palestinians launched 3,356 rockets towards Israel; 2,648 fell within Israeli territory.
Exactly 2,532 landed in open territories, 116 in built-up, populated areas, 119 launching attempts failed, 578 were intercepted over cities and communities by the Iron Dome system.
Thirty-two tunnels were unearthed and destroyed in the ground offensive, while 82,201 reservists were called up for service.
As far as aid going into the Strip, 1491 trucks of food went into Gaza, including 220 trucks with humanitarian aid, and 106 trucks carrying medical equipment.
