Assault At Temple University Confirms 'Students For Justice In Palestine' Is A Hate Group

(Truth Revolt) Yesterday, a Jewish student was assaulted at Temple University when he approached a table run by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and attempted to begin a dialogue. Rather than engage, they responded with anti-Semitic slurs and one person near the table punching his face.

This act of violence at Temple University, first reported by Truth Revolt, is clearly unacceptable but it is not surprising — it is the natural result of allowing a hate group like SJP on campus to promote anti-Semitism. This is only the latest in many hate crimes committed by affiliates of SJP which create a hostile learning environment for Jewish students across the country.

As a progressive, I am appalled by racism and hate. Which is why I hope Temple takes decisive action against SJP to ensure their Jewish students have a secure, non-hostile learning environment. Frankly, it is beyond me why a violent hate group like SJP is allowed to operate on so many campuses nationwide.

Progressives across the country need to redouble our efforts to stamp out hatred and discrimination; the fight against BDS and SJP is a major battle in that war.
