Sean Penn declares that the UK should hand over the Falklands to Argentina

(Buenos Aires) I've got to give it to left-wing actors who support every nut job cause going. The latest in a long line of so called left-wing causes by American actor Sean Penn is how he has opined to the media that the Falklands should be handed back to Argentina because, as Argentina illegally occupied them for a few months in 1982, they are legally theirs. Not only that but he bitched about how the UK has offended the poor Argentinians by not caring about their sensibilities and deploying Prince William, who is a search and rescue pilot, for a six-week stint. I quote:
'It's unthinkable that the United Kingdom can make a conscious decision to deploy a prince within the military to the Malvinas, knowing the great emotional sensitivity both of mothers and fathers in the United Kingdom and in Argentina who lost sons and daughters in a war of islands with a population of so few.
What I can't understand is how all these so called lovies who preach peace and understanding can't accept that the UK has owned the Falklands since before Argentina was born. Yup, look it up. And that the only time Argentinians have owned them was when they invaded in 1982, and even with outnumbering the British by around 10 to 1 they still got their arses kicked. I know, I was there. And again in 1983, and again in 1984.
