(Paris) Around the world people celebrate the arrival of the New Year in their own special way, In Denmark, people smash old plates against the doors of their friends and neighbours. In Ecuador, they burn paper filled scarecrows. In Spain people eat 12 grapes and in France, immigrants from Africa have invented a new way in which to see in the New Year. They burn other peoples cars. This year was no different with just over 1000 cars destroyed by gangs of mainly recent African Immigrants:
data-lang="en-gb">This is slightly higher than year ago when 935 were burnt out. Police arrested 510 youths carrying out such acts of destruction, which is up from 456 last year. For some strange reason the car owners most affected are generally in the more hard-up neighbourhoods,
