Sometimes even I can't defend Israel from itself

(Jerusalem) As a non-Jew, I have no problem defending Israel and the Jews over how they conduct their business. If anything, I admire Israel for how it takes no crap from the neighbours. Yet once in a while something happens which even I can't condone, and how Israel complained to the UN about how 2 mortar shells had landed inside the Golan Heights which had been launched from Syria, is one of them. Any other time I would have backed Israel, but after 2 airstrikes within 2 days, killing over 42 Republican Guard soldiers, taking out a couple of missile shipments and making the sky light up over Damascus, and I think that the Jews are taking the piss here.

P.S.: Good work on the airstrikes thou.

I'm confused. What are you against Israel doing?
About reporting Syria for launching a couple of Mortar shells into the Golan heights (Which lets be honest they stole off the Syrians) after 2 Air attacks by the IDF on Syrian Soil. . Any other tiome I would defend Israel, but not while the ground is still smoking in Syria.
I think "stole" isn't a fair description of that the Israelis did, because it suggests wrongdoing. Self-defence isn't wrongdoing. The Golan Heights were a weapon, which had been used for years to murder Israelis. Eventually in 1967 the Israelis took the weapon away from the murderers.
Look I don't have a problem with Israel and unlike a large number of posters here I have actually visited the country. In 1967 the boundary's of the region had been set in concrete for around 19 years (give or take a year) The Golan Heights belonged to Syria, that is fact. It is also fact that a large % of the water into Israel comes from the region and that Syria was looking at cutting off that water. I also know how the Syrians would lob rounds into Israel from the Heights. I am more than happy for Israel to keep the heights, however what History tells me is that they took the area by force. aka Stole. At the time the Syrians weren't attacking ,which is why very few troops managed to take such a huge expanse. If we are going to talk history lets do so by telling the truth and not some rose tinted version.
