UK: Shots fired as car tries to ram its way into USAF base.

(Mildenhall)  The USAF base at RAF Mildenhall is currently on a lock down after a man tried to ram his way into the base at around 1300hrs local time.  Unfortunately for the driver of the car, military guard personnel at all UK bases are armed and after a number of rounds were expelled in the direction of said vehicle, it quickly came to a halt and an injured man was taken into custody.

RAF Mildenhall is currently home to the U.S. Air Force's 100th Air Refueling Wing, which is responsible for American refuelling operations across Europe. Other units, including the 501st Combat Support Wing, the 352nd Special Operations Wing and the 95th Reconnaissance Squadron are also stationed there.
