Sweden: Police Chief appeals to public for help

(Malmo)  Police Chief Stefan Sintéus has publicly appealed to the Public in which to help them help solve 11 ongoing murder and 80 attempted murder investigations.

In an opinion piece published by regional newspaper Sydsvenskan, he describes an "upward spiral of violence of great proportions" in the city. It appears that one of the biggest problems for the police is finding witnesses willing to talk.

"They are scared. They are terrified and are wondering who's going to be shot next," 

Meanwhile on Thursday a 20 year old thug was jailed for 40 months  after been found guilty of robbing ten young peopleat knife point in Malmö, Lund and Arlöv last year
