Feud in West Bank sees 2 killed, 12 shot, whole areas set on fire. Don't worry though, it's Eid on Saturday.

(West Bank) A family feud in the Bethlehem village of Beit Jala, saw 38-year-old Mahmoud Muhammad Ali Eriedi, killed by insertion of a sharp object into his chest. (That’s how it was reported.) In response, his family went on the rampage and targeted the family of the man who shoved that sharp object into his chest. Which is why cars, homes and stores belonging to members of the other family were set on fire. Naturally, these rapidly spread through a shopping mall several stories high, forcing people to jump from the building's windows in an attempt to escape. Which is how a 50-year-old woman from Beit Suhour was killed after jumping from the building.

On Saturday last, 12 Palestinians were shot and injured during an armed clash between two families in the northern West Bank village of Rujeib, east of Nablus.

Ramadan death toll is now at 5,717.
