How Black people hold Black people down

When I was a child, my mother and I caught a bus in Yorkshire and the bus driver kicked us off for being Asian. A few years ago, while on tour, a lady wrote a letter in stating that she only wanted to write to a white person. Naturally, the lads thought it would be a good idea to for me to write back to her. So calling myself Nigel, Ian, Gary, Graham, Eugene, Richard I did so. She never did reply. However, race relations have moved on a little since Sidney Poitier played Vigil Tibbs in the 1967 film In the heat of the Night.

I'm not saying racism doesn't exist, it does, yet for all the protestations of the left, the West is a much more equal place for people of a different skin colour than it used to be. Which is why this comment by Lee Jasper, the former senior policy advisor on equalities to former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, has no place in this day and age.
Mr Jasper, racism cuts both ways and your comment does no good in this day and age for race relations.
