Ramadan death count round up: 03/06/17

(India) The Pakistan Army on Saturday claimed that "five Indian soldiers were killed and many injured" in retaliation after the Indian forces "violated ceasefire" along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

(India) Terrorists on Saturday ambushed an Army convoy on the Srinagar-Jammu highway, leaving two soldiers dead and four others injured near Lower Munda in Qazigund area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district.

(Pakistan) Police on Saturday arrested a transgender allegedly involved in the murder of a youth in the city. Twenty-four-year-old Rashid Baloch, son of Abdur Rasheed Baloch, a resident of Lyari, was found dead near Jheel Park in the limits of Ferozabad Police Station on May 30.

(Pakistan) A transporter (haven’t a clue?) was gunned down within the jurisdiction of Kahuta police. The victim, Fazal Dad, a transporter by profession was coming back after collecting income of his vehicle when some unidentified armed men opened fire at him.

(Algeria) A homemade bomb killed two Algerian soldiers and wounded four others in the Bir Al Ater area near the Tunisian border on Saturday.

(Algeria) Islamist terrorists kidnapped and beheaded a young shepherd in Tunisian mountains near the border with Algeria, less than two years after his brother was killed in the same way.

(Libya) Libyan forces loyal to eastern-based commander Khalifa Haftar said they had taken the strategic military base of Jufra on Saturday after rival factions withdrew. But not before 12 people were killed.

(Yemen) Yemeni government forces fought Saturday to capture a rebel-held presidential palace in the southwestern province of Taez after clashes that killed 27 people. This comes on top of 19 people killed in the previous 24 hours in the same city.
