Ramadan Death Count: Iraq, 08/06/17

(Anbar) Nine civilians, including children, were killed in a suicide attack that took place in central Hit, west of Iraq, Wednesday.

(Tal Afar) Unknown gunmen killed five ISIS terrorists at an enclave which is still under the group’s control west of Mosul.

(Mosul) Eleven Iraqi soldiers were killed, while seven others were wounded due to an explosion of a booby-trapped house in western Mosul district.

(Mosul) Thirty-four ISIS terrorists, including one of their leaders, were killed during armed confrontations in the district of al-Zanjili situated in western Mosul.

(Baqubah) Police managed to kill a suicide bomber and chased another one away in Baqibah, Diyala, on Tuesday.

(Mosul) A prominent Islamic State leader has been killed in western Mosul. Ahmed Hashim Hamid, known as Abu Hammam, a prominent leader belonging to the so-called ‘Sharia Diwan’ was killed over the past few days in western Mosul In clashes with the Kurds.

(Hawija) A prominent IS leader in the town of Hawija known as abu Mohamed al-Shami, (a Syrian national,) was killed in an Iraqi airstrike that targeted his group’s location in Fudeiha village, in Hawija, southwest of Kirkuk”.

(Mosul) The death toll of civilians murdered by ISIS trying to leave Mosul since friday has increased from the initial 120 to 231 (111 added to the total).

(Mosul) The bodies of 15 suspected ISIS terrorists have been found blindfolded, bound and shot dead in mass execution by the side of a road near Mosul.
