Iran: Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei issues fatwa against women riding bikes

(Tehran) When the Mad Mullahs in Iran aren't boasting to the world of their latest world beating weapon systems:

F-313 Conqueror
or even snogging little boys:

Just where is he placing that child's hand???
they issue edicts, such as an environmental campaign with the tagline:
"Every Tuesday, give up your car and take your bike."
And so many Iranians did just that. The problem was, this included woman, and this new trend wasn't to the liking of Iran's ultraconservatives (who prefer little boys to women) who felt that women on bicycles is contrary to Islam and constitutes "indecent behaviour."

On September 10, the Fars News agency published Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's fatwa banning women from riding bikes in public spaces.
"Riding bicycle often attracts the attention of men and exposes the society to corruption, and thus contravenes women's chastity, and it must be abandoned."
Which is why Iranian police have been stopping and charging weapon for... riding bikes:

Naturally, this hasn't gone down well with the fairer sex in Iran and women have taken to the social media in which to post pictures of themselves riding bikes in protest:

Why are Islamic males so scared of women?
