Ramadan Death count: Pakistan 12/06/16

Two Pakistani smugglers were killed and one was injured in a gunfight with Border Security Forces (BSF) in Fazilka city in Punjab

A 24-year-old male was found dead inside a house in the Kot Lakhpat area. The deceased man’s family claims that he was murdered, however, the house owner claims that the man showed up with a gun and attempted to kill his daughter.The body of Muhammad Ashfaq was brought to a hospital along with an injured girl, who had suffered gunshot wound on her hand.The girl told the police that Ashfaq came to kill her sister after her family rejected Ashfaq’s marriage proposal. The injured girl claimed that Ashfaq first beat her mother and then tried to kill her sister, but she tried to stop him and suffered a bullet wound on her hand. Ashfaq was killed as she and her mother tried to snatch the gun, a 30 bore pistol, from Ashfaq’s hands, the inured girl claims.

Three people were killed and three others including a woman received injuries in separate incidents on Saturday. According to police, two people identified as Pervaiz and Sajid were killed in a clash between two rival groups while three others including a woman were injured in cross firing.
In a separate incident, Saddar police recovered a dead body of about a 40-year-old person and found torture marks on the body, near Kot Baluch area about 6 KM North East from the district. The deceased was later identified as Younis, a resident of Mohallah Mughalpura, Mandi Bahauddin.

A tea vendor was allegedly tortured to death by police in Faisalabad’s Gulberg area after he refused to serve tea free of cost on Saturday evening.
