Ramadan Death count: Afghanistan 15/06/16

Afghan security forces and Taliban terrorists clashed overnight in the Maiwand district of southern Kandahar province. The pre-dawn clash broke out when armed insurgents stormed security posts manned by the national army, police and public order police in Band-i-Taimur area of the district.
The attack which was repulsed saw 35 terrorists killed for the cost of 15 Afghan security personnel and with another 4 wounded.

Elsewhere in the province, Afghan special security forces conducted a raid on a Taliban hideout in Zangitan area of Shah Walikot district, resulting in 20 militants being  killed and six others captured alive with their weapons .

(QUETTA) : Five suspected terrorists, four of them belonging to two banned militant organisations and one to the Afghan intelligence agency NDS, were killed in a shootout with security forces in Quetta’s Chashma Achozai area on Monday night.

At least one Afghan border guard has been killed in renewed clashes at a Pakistani-Afghan border crossing, according to an Afghan official. Wednesday's death was the third since Sunday night, when the violence erupted at the Torkham border crossing over the construction of a gate by Pakistan on allegedly disputed territory.

Police in the western province of Ghor have said that local armed men in Feroz Koh city of the province have allegedly killed a woman on charges of escaping from home. The incident happened on Monday after the armed men allegedly took the victim from her house and shot her.

At least 21 ISIS terrorists were killed in the latest military operations in East of Afghanistan. The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the operations were conducted jointly by the Afghan ground and Air Forces in Nangarhar province, reports the Khamma Press.
