NY Governor announces boycott against BDS

Shorter Cuomo: BDS is a two-way street, bitches.
(INN) Andrew Cuomo says he will issue a list of pro-BDS businesses he will order state agencies to divest from, in 'another victory against BDS.'

Shortly before the annual Celebrate Israel Parade in New York on Sunday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a new initiative to block the BDS movement that economically targets the Jewish state with boycotts.

Cuomo announced that he plans to put out a list of business and organizations that support BDS. He will also issue an order to all New York agencies to divest from the named businesses and to avoid any future relations with them.

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon, who just last week held the largest anti-BDS event yet at the UN General Assembly in New York, welcomed Cuomo's announcement.

"Following last week’s ‘Ambassadors Against BDS’ conference and the unprecedented show of force against BDS, Governor Cuomo’s announcement is another effective strike against those seeking to harm Israel," said Danon.

"America is Israel’s largest and most important ally, and the Governor’s initiative emphasizes this special bond. This is another victory in the battle against BDS and I am sure that more states will continue to join this fight in stopping BDS across the US."
