Belgium: Police cars torched in Molenbeek area of Brussels

(Brussels) Two police cars were torched on Friday in the Molenbeek area of Brussels. The area, a primarily Islamic one, has picked up a name as a hotbed for Islamic terrorists.

It was searched as part of anti-terror operations that were carried out in Belgium in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks. The idiot in thwarted terrorist attack on a high-speed train from Belgium to France was reported to have stayed at his sister's house in Molenbeek, and a Frenchman accused of shooting dead four people last year at the Jewish Museum in Brussels also spent time in the area. And, of course, Salah Abdeslam, the most wanted suspect for the Paris attacks, was arrested in a shoot-out in the area.

Well, it's Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar, when Muslims are supposed to refrain from bad deeds and such, which is why on Friday two police cars were torched. The first just happened to catch fire on Quatre-Vents Street where Salah Abdeslam was detained in March. The second just happened to catch fire near De Roovere Avenue, next to a police station, of all places. A man has been arrested for both crimes.
