Terror attack in Jerusalem's Old City: Palestinian goes on stabbing spree, wounds 4 Israelis

(JPost) A Palestinian terrorist was shot dead moments after stabbing four Jewish family members multiple times in a terrorist attack near Jerusalem’s Lion’s Gate, in the Old City, shortly after Shabbat concluded Saturday night.

Two of the victims are reportedly in critical condition, while one is in serious condition. A two-year-old child also stabbed in the attack is being treated for light wounds.

According to Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, the attack occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m., when the unidentified family members were walking to the Western Wall.

“The Arab suspect repeatedly stabbed the [four] Israelis while they were walking near Lion’s Gate,” said Rosenfeld minutes after the attack.

“Border Police and Police responded immediately and shot the terrorist, neutralizing him. Police have cordoned off the area and are searching for a possible accomplice.

Rosenfeld said Magen David Adom paramedics are presently treating the three victims, one of whom is in serious condition and two who are in moderate condition.

The attack comes amid heightened tension in the capital, and less than 48 hours after the Jewish parents of four young children were murdered in the West Bank.
